LEGACY FUND

For 89 years, Holy Family Catholic School has served as the largest ministry in our parish community, nurturing students in Catholic values and embracing them with a sense of belonging in our vibrant, thriving community. Special student experiences and learning opportunities, both on and off campus, highlight our dynamic and participatory program, designed to expand classroom learning and support many different curriculum areas.

Your support enables us to maintain our commitment to provide our students with the Catholic traditions of faith, community, service, and excellence!

There are four ways to pledge or donate, including Smart Tuition for our school families. (scroll down to review)

Our Legacy Fund Campaign begins on Wednesday, September 2nd, with Blue & Gold Free Dress for our students! This year’s campaign is a little over two weeks long, so please submit your pledges soon! Legacy of Learning is a tax-deductible school program that helps bridge the gap between tuition and operating costs, amounting to about $2,600 per student. It also helps to cover funding for:

Instructional Aides • Staff Development • Academic DecathlonMock Trial • Science Camp • Gardening • Student Council • Athletics • Field Trips • Drama • School Nurse • Counselor • Yearbook • Innovation & Design • CIMI (Catalina Island Marine Institute)

100% participation is our goal! It makes the school eligible for grants and other perks that can help fund the above programs as well as others.

Early Birds! If you pledge (payment is not due now) by September 9th at 3:00 p.m. (no later), your family will receive Two (2) ADDITIONAL service hours, AND your family will be entered in a raffle to win one of the following prizes:

  • Reserved Pew for the Christmas Concert
  • Second Semester Free Hot Lunch (for one child)
  • HFS Merchandise

For our school families, we are offering service hours for your commitment level: 

  • Samaritans up to $249 (1 service hour)
  • Angels $250-$499 (2.5 service hours)
  • Saints $500-$749 (5 service hours)
  • Apostles $750-$2,099 (10 service hours)
  • Prophets $2,100 (15 service hours)
  • Knights $2,101-$2,599 (18 service hours)
  • Fund the Gap $2,600 and above (20 service hours)

You are not required to make a payment for your donation. While your support is greatly appreciated, your pledge to donate is paramount. Payment options are available, so please consider this as you prepare to donate to Legacy of Learning.

Payment options are as follows:

  • PLEDGE: To pledge an amount via SMART TUITION, please click here to fill out the PLEDGE FORM for a one-time amount or spread over seven months.
  • E-DONATE: To donate now, please click HERE.
  • CHECK: If you want to write a check, please mail it to the school and notify Mary Bruno by email.
  • MATCH: To make a matching gift or for more information on our matching gift program, please email Mary Bruno or dial direct 626.403.6130. 

*Please note: Donations to the Legacy Fund do not count towards the yearly family fundraising goal required by the school*

The Legacy Fund Campaign runs until Tuesday, September 15th, so you have until that date to pledge. We do, however, encourage early participation so that you have a chance to win the raffle. Every class with 100% participation will earn a special treat in October.
