Ms. Elisha Ty is the Kindergarten Angels teacher at Holy Family Catholic School, and she looks forward to continuing to contribute to its legacy of excellence in education. She is a product of a Catholic School education, graduating from St. Finbar School and Providence High School in Burbank, CA. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, followed by her Master’s Degree in Education from Loyola Marymount University. She started her career in education as an Instructional Aide for Kindergarten, and went on to teach second grade for five years, then fourth grade for four years. Her teaching is dedicated to a holistic approach to education, focusing not only on academics but also on nurturing the whole child—mentally, psychologically, socially, and spiritually. She values the importance of Catholic schools in building morals and values on a faithful foundation. She is dedicated to sharing her love of God and her faith with all her students and the community.
Do not be surprised if you hear music from Ms. Ty’s classroom, as she loves dancing and singing along to all types of music. In her free time, she likes to attend boxing classes, work on her calligraphy skills, and loves to watch sports. She is an avid Disney fan, and it is evident in her classroom. One day, she hopes to travel to all the Disney Parks around the world.
