HFS Introducing NEW Service Hour Recording Procedures
Using your GradeLink sign in, you will now enter your own service hours throughout the year.  Paper records will no longer be accepted in the office rather you now have the opportunity to record your hours as you work them using your phone or on your computer when you have access.  The following links will walk you through the process for recording your hours.  Hours will be reviewed and approved each month by the HFS Parent Guild President Elect Bridgette Klaus 

Please Note: Volunteer hours will be self-recorded throughout the year using your assigned Gradelink accounts. Paper records will no longer be accepted.  Service Hours will be reviewed and approved each month by the HFS Parent Guild President-Elect.

The Service Hour year falls from May 1 to April 30 each year.

Please start recording any hours you accumulated during the month of May 2017 and throughout the summer and upcoming school year.

HFS Parents are required to be an active participant in the Family Service Program.  Each family is required to complete at least 40 hours of service (20 hours if a single-parent “SP” family) by April 30. As well as assist with 3 carpool mornings (7:30am – 8:00am) for each child’s grade level. This is regarded as a minimum and all parents are encouraged to help in any capacity throughout the year.  At least 25 hours (12.5 SP) of this service requirement must come directly from school-related activities. The remaining 15 hours (7.5 SP) may come from any parish activities and/or school activities. There is no buy-out option for service hours, however, under extraordinary circumstances, where all the required hours cannot be met, payment in the amount of $25.00 per un-served hour will be charged.

Each family is also required to assist with 3 carpool mornings (7:30-8:00 am) for each child’s grade level, regardless of whether or not you have fulfilled your service hours. Families with multiple children in the same grade only need to work three shifts for that grade.

In-kind donations do not qualify for service hours without pre-approval from the Parent Guild Board President-Elect / Service Hour Chair.
