Scrip News: Scrip Contest...October and November are "Buy Paper Scrip Months".  The 2 families that profit the school the most $ during the months of October and November will win each win a 2nd row pew and reserved parking space for the December Christmas Concert!!!

 

 

What is Scrip

Scrip is a fundraising program that allows participating merchants to contribute a percentage of your purchases to the school. Though Scrip is a parish-wide fundraiser, the profits go directly into the school's regular operating budget.
 
Helpful Tip: 
Paper Scrip can be purchased at the Pastoral Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or on Sunday between 8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. 

Scrip Family Commitment:

1.        What are the current Scrip family requirements?

            Families will be required to make a net contribution via scrip purchases of $250 profit to HFS.  This can be achieved through eScrip and/or paper scrip purchases.

 2.       Why does Scrip make sense as a fundraising strategy?

            IT’S FREE MONEY!  Scrip is a relatively easy way to generate the revenue our school needs.  It requires relatively minimal volunteer hours and cost to sustain the program.  Since retailers provide the revenue based on purchases, it is not a financial burden to our families.

3.         What is Scrip funding used for?

            Scrip is budgeted to generate $40,000 in net profit to support the operating budget of the school. Funds generated from Scrip support direct operating costs of the school including teacher and staff salaries, books and educational materials.  Unlike other Parent Guild fundraisers which support enrichment activities, Scrip revenue directly supports basic operating costs. 

 4.         How will I know if I am meeting my commitment?

     Families can keep track of their purchases in two ways:

               1.      Quarterly, the Scrip Coordinator will produce a family report that shows the net contribution by family from both Scrip and eScrip; eScrip reports are generally sent directly to Holy Family on a quarterly basis.  It is important that the Scrip coordinator knows for each family the registered card name so that each family gets the right credit for purchases.

  2.       Any time that you have a question on your scrip contribution, you can email the Scrip Coordinator and you can get an immediate status report.

 5.       There is such a lag in eScrip contributions being reported.  How will my purchases be recorded?

Due to the time lag in reports from eScrip, the year for Scrip Commitments will be from May 1 through April 30 of the following year.  This will allow adequate time for the Scrip reports to be completed and generated prior to re-registration time in June.

 6.         What if I do not want to participate in the program?

Families may elect to buy-out of the Scrip program by making a direct contribution to the school of $250. (Please make a check payable to - Holy Family Church). Payments for the buy-out option must be received each school year by September 30th.

7.           What if I don’t make my Scrip commitment by April 30th?

If a family does not make the full $250 net  contribution by the end of the Scrip calendar year, the family will be required to make a contribution to the school for the difference between the amount of Scrip profit and $250 at re-registration time in June.

 eScrip is a simple and convenient way of supporting our school. All you need is to go online at www.escrip.com  or call 800-592-0942 and register your favorite grocery or participating merchant card. Please make sure to use the Holy Family School Group Id number:  137821672

Scrip forms are available in the school office or you may print out the current form below.  Please make sure to print and fill in the information on both pages and bring to the Pastoral Center.

    Scrip To Do List :

  •  Register your Macy's card and earn 2% - 6% of your purchases (at www.escrip.com  or by calling 800-592-0942)

  • Have any of your already registered credit cards expired??  Please go to www.escrip.com to update your information. If a registered card has expired you are no longer earning $$ for HFS.

  • You must also renew your Vons Club Card by October 31, 2009 at www.escrip.com  or by calling 800-592-0942)

  • REGISTER or RENEW YOUR RALPHS CARD

    After September 1st…

    go online to www.ralphs.com

    and go to Welcome/Sign in/Register
