Holy Family School

      February is a busy and short month.  We will be focusing on multiplication and cursive.  There will be less formal writing assignments this month as we introduce these two new and very important skills.  I appreciate your encouragement and support during this time in assisting your student to acquire a good foundation in both skills.  Daily practice in both is highly recommended-make a game of it!  They need to KNOW their facts quickly and accurately !!!
     The directions for the February book report will be going home next week.  Your student will know to read a biography as they will be making a stand-up timeline.  I have many appropriate level biographies for children in our classroom library.
     A BIG thank you to all the parents that helped with our field trip to the Museum of the American West and  the Native American activities and villages.  Also, thank you to those who helped with the 3rd grade Continental Breakfast and the 2nd grade First Reconciliation reception. What a fun-filled and educational time we all had last month!
     I look forward to seeing everyone at Open House.  The students are very excited about showing off their work and they should be very proud.  Thank you for your continued support and the pleasure of your children.             Prayers always,    Mrs. Arnold
