ADMISSION TIMELINE


ADMISSION INFORMATION

 

FOR KINDERGARTEN
  • Applicants must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2020.
  • Verification of birth certificate and Catholic Baptism certificate. Please bring the original certificates to the school at the time of your child’s evaluation appointment. We will make copies for our files.
  • Please submit a recent photograph of your family for our file when you come for your screening appointment.
  • Applicants must test developmentally ready for Kindergarten via the Ⓒ 2013 Gesell Institute of Child Development admissions student screening.
  • PreSchool Evaluation form to be filled out by Pre-School Teacher
  • Families must be registered contributing parishioners since January 1, 2019, or recently moved into the area.
  • Families must be active within the parish, participating in various ministries.
  • Families must contribute to the church via the Sunday envelope (minimum of $10 per week or $520 per year).

FOR GRADES 1-8

Please Note: New students at these grade levels are limited to available space. You may complete an application at any time to be considered for space as they become available in the Fall. 

  • Students must have received applicable sacraments for their grade level.
  • First grade applicants must be 6 years of age by September 1, 2020.
  • Students must test academically ready for their grade level via the admissions exam and teacher recommendation.
  • Students must have positive behavior and citizenship grades from the transferring school.
  • New students at these grade levels are limited to available space. You may complete an application at any time to be considered for space as they become available in the Fall.
  • Grades and tests scores from previous schools must be submitted directly from previous school.
  • Families must be registered contributing parishioners since January 1, 2019, or recently moved into the area.

CHILDREN SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

In compliance with the Los Angeles Archdiocese, as well as the Holy Family Catholic School Admission Requirements, the church and school require 100% compliance with the Safeguard the Children Program to help ensure the safety of our children for the good of the entire school community.  New or Returning Families:  All parents and any school volunteer (step-parent, legal guardian, grandparent, family member 18+, caregiver, etc) must be in full compliance before the beginning of the school year before volunteering for or supervising children in any capacity at any school or church events/activities; driving students to a field trip, serving hot lunch, carpool duty, attending overnight trips, coaching, scouting, supervising students in the drama program etc. or any parish program where an individual will be volunteering with or around children. Requirements to be completed by each person:
