Dear 4th grade,
It's time to begin our reading logs! Here's what I want you to do. Each time you read, please record the title of the book, the author and the number of minutes you have read. Make sure to have Mom or Dad sign your log, too. Remember, it's important that you are reading 15 minutes each night, either silently or aloud with one of your parents.
You will begin a new reading log each Monday and they will be due each Friday. I will send home a Reading Log packet with you today that will get you started.

Weekly Reading Log
Four times during the week, I will read a book for 15-20 minutes and write in response to a different topic two times. I will have details, correct spelling, and I will write at least 30 words.
