Hello and welcome to another great year in Technology! My name is Maura Moore, and this is my fifth year teaching Technology at Holy Family School! Holy Family is a wonderful place to work, and I cannot wait to share my excitement and enthusiasm with your children!
My goals as the Technology teacher are to infuse within your children a deep love of learning, a strong Christian spirit, and the tools to embark successfully into a world where computer literacy is a must for success! Our Technology curriculum here at Holy Family School provides opportunities for students to use Technology on a frequent and familiar basis using age-appropriate concepts and skills. At all grade levels, I connect activities and projects to what students are learning in their other academic subjects as much as possible. I believe that interdisciplinary activities and assignments can only further each student's understanding while also enriching their learning experience and encouraging them to become life-long learners. With this in mind, Holy Family students are not just learning how to use the computer in my class - they are also strengthening their skills in social studies, language arts, math, and science, as well as achieving their Schoolwide Learning Expectations.
Grades of O, G, S, and NI will be given in grades 4-8 at each trimester based on in-class assignments, behavior, and participation. Please feel free to give me a call or send me an email! My email is

About Me
I spent the first six weeks of my summer vacation teaching U.S. History to incoming 11th graders at Burbank High School. This was the final component of my teaching credential program at Cal State Northridge. I am now a credentialed social studies teacher for grades K-12. I also am obtaining my multiple subject credential and should have that in the next few months. It has been an incredible experience to teach at Thomas Starr King Middle School and Burbank High School, and most of all it has taught me how lucky I am to work in such an outstanding school as Holy Family with amazing parental support and truly wonderful children.
My favorite things to do when I'm not teaching are cooking, reading, playing backgammon, and dreaming about my next travel adventure. I have been all over Europe, including having spent a semester in Paris (unfortunately I don't speak French!) when I was in college and living in Ireland after I graduated. Luckily Dean likes to travel, too - we even met in Mexico and he proposed in Prague! I also play soccer on a women's league and am loving that, too!
