Dear Parents,
The Legacy of Learning Program has grown significantly since its inception two years ago. Inspired by school parents, it is an annual funding vehicle that supports programs and needs above the operational budget of Holy Family School. By augmenting the school budget through an annual campaign, our donations are tax-deductible, unlike tuition, and every dollar goes directly toward the heart of the matter – our children. This program continues to play a key role in preserving and enhancing the quality Catholic education that we all desire, and that our children deserve.
The Legacy of Learning Program has provided additional funding and continues to support:
·Upgraded text and teacher materials for Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Music and Physical Education
·Increased instructional aide time and staff development
·Laptop computers, printers, and classroom technology upgrades
·Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math materials
·Additional funding for Mock Trials and Academic Decathlon
·Specialized educational assembly opportunities
·Enrichment-based field trips
Our 2006-2007 campaign kicks off October 16th with a final “Pledge Day” of November 15th. Our goal is to meet or surpass last year’s level of giving of $100,000 and achieve 100% participation from our school families, regardless of the size of one’s gift.
We continue to be inspired by the tremendous support from the Holy Family School community that includes parents, alumni, friends, faculty, parishioners and grandparents. Even local businesses and corporations with matching gift programs have helped increase educational opportunities that directly benefit the children of our school.
Please review the enclosed brochure and the list of most frequently asked questions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Legacy of Learning committee members.
Thank you for continuing to have faith in our future.
Best Regards,
Kurt Knop
