2017 – 2018 Holy Family School Admissions Requirements

In compliance with the Los Angeles Archdiocese Safeguard the Children Program as well as the Holy Family School Admission Requirements for our 2017 – 2018 School Year, ALL incoming Kindergarten parents, returning parents of registered families, new HFS families and/or caregivers are required to submit the following to both Holy Family School and the Holy Family Pastoral Center by August 14, 2017:

1) Live-Scan Fingerprints/Background Check 

2) Current VIRTUS® Training Certificate or Re-Certification VIRTUS® Training Certificate

3) Signed “Archdiocesan Guidelines for Interacting with Minors”.

Kindergarten

  • Families must be registered contributing parishioners since January 1, 2016, or recently moved into the area.
  • Families must be active within the parish, participating in various ministries.
  • Families must contribute to the church via the Sunday envelope (minimum of $5 per week or $260 per year).
  • Applicants must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2017.
  • Applicants must be baptized in the Catholic faith.
  • Complete the application packet, screening, and testing.
  • Applicants must test developmentally ready for Kindergarten via the admissions exam.
  • A $100 testing fee will be assessed at the time of testing. Checks should be made to Holy Family School and are non-refundable.

Grades 1-8

  • Families must be registered contributing parishioners since January 1, 2017, or recently moved into the area.
  • Families must be active within the parish, participating in various ministries.
  • Families must contribute to the church via the Sunday envelope (minimum of $5 per week or $260 per year).
  • Students must have received applicable sacraments for their grade level.
  • First grade applicants must be 6 years of age by September 1, 2018.
  • Students must test academically ready for their grade level via the admissions exam and teacher recommendation.
  • Students must have positive behavior and citizenship grades from the transferring school.
  • New students at these grade levels are limited to available space. You may complete an application at any time to be considered for space as they become available in the Fall. Click here to download a copy of the application.
  • Parents must complete the entire admissions packet and submit grades and test scores from previous schools.
