BA – Human Development, Azusa Pacific University MS – Physical Education, Azusa Pacific University CAA - Certified Athletic Administrator The 2016 - 2017 school year will be Coach Cook's 16th year at HFS. In 2011, he became a Certified Athletic Administrator (national certification). During his tenure, Holy Family has had (14) teams advance to the CYO semi-finals or finals; while also winning the only two CYO championships in school history. Holy Family received the Regional Director's Cup (top overall athletic program) for three consecutive years (2012 - 2014), in addition to having an HFS student athlete receive the CYO male athlete of the year award in 2013 and 2014. Coach Cook has been a member of the athletic advisory board for the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) of Los Angeles, the largest middle school sports organization in the U.S., since 2006. From 2007 to 2015, he served as a CYO regional rep, assisting schools (47) within the northern region with all aspects of after school athletics. For (12) years, 2001 to 2012, Coach Cook was the head coach for varsity baseball at Flintridge Preparatory School in La Canada. In 2010 he was named the HS coach of the year by the LA Times for the Burbank/Glendale areas (Burbank Leader, Glendale News Press). Since 2014 he has coached at Polytechnic School in Pasadena and currently serves as the head coach for varsity baseball. He is a member of several professional organizations: the NIAAA (National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association), NASPE (National Association for Sport and Physical Education) and the ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association). He is also a PLC (Play Like a Champion) certification instructor, volunteering his time and conducting several coaching certification courses throughout the school year on behalf of the CYO.
