Fluency has been added as a category for Spanish on the Middle School report card. Fluency is an indicator of where the student is in the process of acquiring the Spanish language. The three levels of fluency are novice, intermediate or advanced. For the 1st trimester all students have “N/A” for the Fluency category. Our first Fluency assessment will be reported on the 2nd trimester report card. ACTFL (American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Language) has created indicators of what the student is able to do with the language called Can-Do Statements. Please click this link for more information on Can-Do Statements: novice, intermediate and advanced.
